The Kaa'ba, Mecca

The Kaa'ba, the most sacred site in Islam, built by Abraham and his son Ishmael (peace be upon them). This is looking straight at the door. The gold coloured smaller monument to the right of the door is called the Maqam Ibrahim, or the station of Abraham and contains the petrified footprints of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him). Muslims around the world face the Kaa'ba for their daily prayers.
